Do You Follow Part II
Well it looks as though the Do Follow thing is really catching on. Seems GeekySpeaky.Com has started a “ do follow the “d list— of sites that use the Do Follow plugin for Wordpress. Yes it is link bait. Yes I am going to participate. Yes you should too. By the way this is a follow up post to the “Do You Follow?” post last week.
Ok since I thought it would be neat to visit each of these blogs as well as link to them, I went and replaced the top links with a bit of deeplinking. Hope no one gets upset. Feel free to use my deep linking for your own or revert back to the front page. If you have a “Do Follow” post and I neglected to deep link to it please let me know and I will get it corrected right away. Now for my link I would appreciate it if you would leave it the way it is, that lets me see where the link has migrated to much easier. Thanks !
**Begin to copy here***
1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.
2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.
3. Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals†list.
4. Add at least 1 new blog that you KNOW is using the DO FOLLOW plugin to the list in the “My Adds†section. (Add no more than 5!) Let the people you’ve added know, so that they can keep the list going! (Link all the blogs in your post too!)
5. Leave relevant comments on the blogs listed and get a link back to your site thanks to Do Follow!

I got the plugin do follow
Now how do I keep the D list going?

SkinnyCook, all you need do is start at “**Begin to copy here***” and read the instructions. Basically just copy from the “Begin” to the “End” spot, paste it into a post, add your own intro paragraph to the top, move the links around and add your own. Sounds more complicated than it is. If you have any problems feel free to contact me using the Contact page.

So that means if i leave a comment on here i’ll get a linkback?
Seriously, this is a great idea, the dofollow thing, i installed the dofollow plugin not so long ago and it helps getting more comments that’s for sure. The d-list is also a great idea. I’m a little more concerned about the spammy comments, but you can set the dofollow plugin to enable folllowing after a certain number of days, so enough time to verify and maybe delete the spam-like replies.

The I Follow Phenomenon…
A while back, in response to a post on Beta Blogger 4 Dummies, we removed the “nofollow” attribute from our html code to allow search spiders to find comments posted here.
The “do follow” movement has picked up steam in a major way. Randa Clay c…

I think that this is a great idea and I wish you the best with your do-follow campaign. I think this type communication between bloggers is so important as long as we all provide good content for each other. How have the links worked out?

My blog now follows links. At first I thought nofollow was a good idea but I have changed my mind on that. After a long time procrastinating I have seen the importance of “dofollow” and making sure everything stays connected and links don’t get broken. I will follow comments on my blog, http://www.reallyreally.net I hope more people adopt these principals. Regards Bree.
